Pre-K
The HCPSS Pre-K program is a high-quality, half-day prekindergarten program. Students must be four years old by September 1, 2024, to be considered for enrollment in fall 2024. The comprehensive curriculum taught by certified staff supports early learning and school readiness and provides experiences that foster children’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
Students must be four years old by September 1st.
The Maryland State Department of Education requires that the Pre-K program be made available first to students who meet first priority criteria: income eligible, homelessness and foster care. Parent(s)/guardian(s) of prospective pre-K students must apply for Pre-K and should submit their completed pre-K application to one of the following options: Centralized Email: hcpss_pk@hcpss.org or any HCPSS elementary school.

Learning Together Program (LTP)
HCPSS’ Learning Together Program helps develop kindergarten readiness skills for children, ages 3 with and without disabilities. The Learning Together Program has served the HCPSS community for more than 25 years, by offering young children opportunities to play and learn with each other, and benefit from a diverse and stimulating classroom environment. Children must be age 3 by 9/1 for 3-year-old class.
